Attleborough Probus Club will welcome who they describe as their most high-profile guest in its 27-year history.

Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk Constabulary will address the members of the club at their fortnightly meeting on Wednesday, August 12 at 10am.

Admission to the meeting, to be held atthe Connaught Bowls Club, Station Road, Attleborough, is free, and will include a questions-and-answers session.

“We are delighted that Mr Bett has agreed to speak to us and we consider it quite a coup for our small club,” said Attleborough Probus chairman John Williams. “Not only are we interested in hearing what Mr Bett has to say, but we also want to use the occasion to raise awareness of our club, so we are cordially inviting any local retired or semi-retired men to come along.”

The club meets fortnightly at the Connaught Bowls Club and anyone interested in finding out more can call Stan Groom on 01953 454427.
