Help on offer for south Norfolk residents to keep them safe and warm during winter months

South Norfolk Council is offering help to residents in a bid to keep them warm and safe this winter.

A number of options are available, including the loaning of emergency heaters, boiler servicing grants for the over 65s and boiler replacement grants, loans to help buy heating oil, emergency oil deliveries, and advice on how to buy heating oil at the best prices.

The winter months can put pressure on households and the Council is working to help alleviate those pressures and support our local residents

Loft and cavity wall insulation grants, Decent Homes Loans and severe weather packs are also available.

South Norfolk Councillor Yvonne Bendle, cabinet member for Wellbeing and Early Intervention said: “The winter months can put pressure on households and the Council is working to help alleviate those pressures and support our local residents.

“By getting in there early and supporting people we can improve their health and wellbeing, and help them stay in their own homes.”
