Harleston will sparkle that extra bit brighter this festive period with a resident’s annual switch on, raising money for good causes.

Sue Sanford, of Pound Lane, has held a Christmas lights display at her home since 2001, raising funds for Cancer Research.

This year’s event will kick off at 5pm on December 5. The lights will be on display every day from 5pm to 9pm, up until December 31.

Mrs Sandford, who recovered from breast cancer in 2001, said: “We would not do it if we did not enjoy it.”

Last year’s display raised more than £300.
