A spate of graffiti that occurred in Diss at the end of last week is being investigated by police.

Messages were sprayed in purple paint across walls on Masefield Road, Vinces Road, Tennyson Road and the pavilion in Diss Park. The incidents happened between 4.30pm on Friday, May 30 and 5pm on Saturday, May 31.

Police believe that these incidents are linked and are appealing for witnesses or any information regarding suspicious activity during those times.

In August 2013, plans were drawn up to deploy CCTV cameras in nine different crime blackspots in Diss, one of which was Diss Park.

The cameras were initially scheduled for installation towards the end of last year, but their current status is currently unknown.

Anybody with information should call PC Stephen Banes at Diss Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
