Frenze Hall Lane in Diss is set to be closed for five weeks as Norfolk County Council carries out footway construction works.
It will involve the construction of a section of footway linking the existing footways together, the construction of an additional carriageway build out and some associated drainage works, and is due to begin on or shortly after Monday, May 23.
The closure will be in place 24 hours and seven days a week.
The diversion in place is down Sandy Lane, Sawmills Road, Victoria Road, Skelton Road and Frenze Road.
Costing £50,000, they are set to be undertaken by the County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and their contractors.
A spokesperson for the county council said: “Due to the construction processes involved, maintain a safe working environment and protect the public it will be necessary to close the road to all traffic for the duration of the works.
“The County Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.”
