Framlingham College students took time out of their exam revision to put on a classical music master class in St Michael’s Church last month, described as an ‘occasion to remember’.

Two madrigals were beautifully sung by Helen Chapman’s wittily named ‘Prince Consort’, while Holst’s planet Venus and Warlock’s Capriol Suite were rendered by orchestral groups, the latter directed with customary verve by Helen Orsler.

The profoundest music of the evening was, however, saved for part two, with a performance of Mozart’s Requiem by the College’s choral society and a quality orchestra with many players from the Kingfisher Sinfonietta, led by Beth Spendlove.
