A Year 11 Framlingham College student looks to represent the UK at a prestigious global conference in America later this year after creating an innovative cookbook to support his fundraising endeavours.

Dominic Weatherby, aged 15, who lives in Framlingham, produced and published ‘The Fortunate Cookbook of Food and Film’, a text detailing recipes to accompany classic films, as part of his efforts to raise money to attend the Global Young Leader Conference taking place this summer.

Paul Taylor, Framlingham College headteacher, said: “Dominic’s wonderfully original food and film book is typical of this sparky, original and intelligent young man.

“It really is a good read and demonstrates clearly why he is such a good candidate for the prestigious Global Young Leaders Conference.”

The conference takes place in Washington DC and New York over the course of two weeks and features a number of leading political figures from around the world.
