Electrical fault caused major village house fire
An electrical fault caused a major house fire in a south Norfolk village on Monday.
Six fire engines and an aerial ladder were called to a semi-detached house in West Church Street, Kenninghall, at 3.04am, including crews from East Harling, Diss and Attleborough.
The blaze started in an upstairs bedroom and spread to the roof of the three-storey home.
A further six fire crews were called throughout the morning to provide relief cover for firefighters at the scene.
A neighbour alerted the emergency services after smelling smoke.
Major damage was caused to the upstairs bedroom and roof but there were no reported injuries.
