Palgrave Primary pupils have an exciting new adventure trail to play on. It consists of an array of ten different mainly wood items ranging from wobble boards, a balance stepper, a clatter bridge and other items suitable for children aged from 4 to 11 to have fun on.
It replaces a smaller set of play equipment installed 14 years ago, which had become unfit for use. The trail provides opportunities for healthy exercise for children at the school and children who live in the village.
Headteacher Andrew Berry said “This adventure trail will give our pupils more opportunities to be physically active during playtimes.
“We are most grateful to the funders, in particular to Mid Suffolk Council, who supplied half the funds required from their Cultural and Community Services grants supporting community projects.
“Other funders who also contributed generously are Palgrave Parish Council, Palgrave Welfare Fund, the Adnams charity and the Friends of Palgrave School. We are extremely grateful to all these funders for the very generous grants.”
