Pupils follow their dreams
Harleston, Norfolk. Honda School of Dreams for the cluster schools at Archbishop Sancroft High School Harleston
PUPILS at Archbishop Sancroft High School in Harleston were encouraged to follow their dreams this week during a two-day thinking skills workshop.
Honda’s School of Dreams team, supported by Lings Honda in Harleston, visited the school on Tuesday and Wednesday to work with teachers and pupils from the high school as well as Harleston, Alburgh and Denton, Brockdish and Pulham Primary Schools, teaching them skills and strategies to help turn their dreams into a reality.
Developed as part of Honda’s commitment to give back to the local community in which it operates, the School of Dreams helps pupils to discover creative and fun ways to learn.
Activities on the day included a 12-task team relay which included completing Sudoku, word searches, jigsaws, juggling, press ups and making a Lego puzzle.
Emma Hetherington, of the School of Dreams, said: “They’ve really been learning to work as a team with people they don’t know and use real life skills.”
Mark Powell, dealer principal at Lings Honda, added: “It is great to support the workshop in our local school. To help children understand they can turn their dreams into reality by learning to use strategies in their early lives will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the local community.”
