Pupils enjoy learning about life on the farm
Mellis, Suffolk. Class of the Week - Mellis Primary School - Starlings Class with Mrs Hannah Goulton (TA) and Miss Sophie Whymark Class Teacher
Reception pupils at Mellis Primary School have been enjoying their topic on the farm, and visited Easton Farm Park on a school trip this week.
The 24 pupils have turned their role play area into a vets to care for sick animals and class teacher Sophie Whymark (right) has arranged for a vet to visit the pupils to talk about the work she does and bring some small animals in. The children have been reading the book Farmer Duck and have been retelling the story with masks.
They are also going to be visited by a parent who works on a farm. Miss Whymark, who is supported by teaching assistant Hannah Goulton (left), said: “They are really excited about this topic and they are really enjoying it.” MDEP-13-03-13-003
