Hedgehogs and Woodpeckers

Forty new reception children have joined Roydon Primary School and are looked after in the Hedgehogs and the Woodpeckers classes.
They are taught alongside Year One pupils and have been enjoying topics on Traditional Tales and the Percy the Park Keeper series of books.
They are currently working on Train Journeys and in the summer will enjoy learning about Growing and Mini-beasts in their outdoor classroom.
They are looked after by reception teachers Susanna Saad (pictured left) and Emma Souter (right), and helped by classroom assistant Mary Rush.
