AT Archbishop Sancroft High School in Harleston, Ben Parsons and Megan Loane came out on top with their GCSE results.
Ben, of Harleston, is now the highest achieving student ever to have attended the school, gaining nine and a half GCSEs at A*, along with one A, two Bs and an A in additional maths, a higher-level course than GCSEs. Ben was one of only four pupils to be chosen for the subject.
“It’s kind of overwhelming,” he said. “I was predicted quite high grades but I never thought I’d do that well.
“It was a lot of hard work but it’s all worth it.”
Ben is now looking forward to starting sixth form at Diss High School and will study maths, further maths, physics and history.
