Pupils at Diss Church of England Junior School received a maths lesson with a twist when they were given a full day of learning outdoors last month.

Many children took part in ‘Maths in the School Grounds’ day, which involved a range of activities including a ‘maths biathlon’ consisting of orienteering and archery challenges.

Julia Brett, the school’s deputy head, said: “It was a day full of rich learning opportunities that enabled the children to engage with the environment.”
