Discord are set to be the cornerstone of this year’s Park Alive, which will be held on Saturday, August 13.
It is organised by Diss Rotary Club and earlier last month, president Dick Mitchell presented a cheque to musical director Michael Dann, swelling the music group’s funding for local dementia projects to £5,000.
A spokesperson for Diss Rotary Club said discussions are ongoing with other “local” and “talented” musicians who will make up a full evening’s worth of free entertainment.
Discord is the ‘well being’ choir founded by Mr Dann in 2011 to promote the mental and physical benefits of singing.
He said: “The six local weekly sessions are aimed at all adults over 16 who have a love for singing and a good sense of fun.
“No experience required but those that have are equally welcome.”
Over 100 Discord voices are expected to come together at Park Alive and members are already practicing some exciting numbers.
