Fire crews from across north Suffolk were called to a home fire in Worlingworth in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
The blaze took place at a property in Church Road just before 3am.
Appliances from Stradbroke, Eye and Framlingham were in attendance, and one team wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the blaze, which was under control by 3.32am.
A spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said all of the occupants of the house had managed to get out before the arrival of the first fire crew.
Five people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and were all taken to Ipswich Hospital.
