Harleston Army Cadets are being put through their paces today in aid of their Royal British Legion branch in a 24 hour rowathon.
12 cadets are being joined by Sergeant Sally Renaut and Under-Officer Sam Carter at their cadet hut on Station Road, riding 15 minute stints on two rowing machines donated by Hartismere School.
The cadets, who began rowing at 9am this morning, aim to travel a combined 500 kilometres.
Under-Officer Sam Carter said: “I should imagine there will be bad blisters at the end of it!
“The Royal British Legion do a great deal of work all round the year and not just for Remembrance. There are a lot of people who are supported that have been affected by conflict recently.”
