Two of the region’s bands are celebrating a double success with a pair of big Norwich shows.
Chasing Creation, formed at Diss High School just two-and-a-half years ago, have announced the release of their new EP, while Redgrave-rockers Walkway will support The Treatment at the Norwich Waterfront on the first night of their UK tour in April.
Indie/rock/funk outfit Chasing Creation, which comprises of Will How on drums, 19, Ethan Keens-Soper, 20, with lead vocals and guitar and Matt Cranswick, also 20, on bass, will unveil ‘Lover Boy’ with a headline set at the Norwich Waterfront on March 25.
To be supported by Twisted Piglet, Black Shuk and Checks, the first 50 through the door will receive a free copy of the CD.
Drummer How told the Diss Express: “We are incredibly excited about the show, especially with this new EP.
“It sounds really good so we are looking forward to showing it off.
This is a bit more modern, a bit heavier. The only way to describe it is ‘loud’Will How
“Our older stuff was a bit slower and funkier in a way. This is a bit more modern, a bit heavier. The only way to describe it is ‘loud’.
“We have kind of found our voice now and we are showing it off.”
Meanwhile Walkway, who have supported the likes of Status Quo and The Darkness, will take to the Waterfront stage on April 27. The Amorettes are also on the bill.
Band manager Michael Ready said: “It’s a great atmosphere at the Waterfront.”
“We were very happy to get the slot because we were asked for personally by The Treatment.”
