Charity boost

More than £2,000 was raised for charity at a cheese and wine evening at Needham.

Sandra Cooper held the event in aid of the Cardiomyopathy Association and the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.

She chose to support the two charities because her brother-in-law suffers from cardiomyopathy – a heart muscle disease – and her partner, Glyn Jordan, has been a patient at Moorfields.

The 2,222 raised will be split between the charities.

"I want to say a big thank you to everyone who donated to the raffle we had on the day and everyone who gave me their time," said Ms Cooper.
