A 16-mile charity trek to give an Attleborough toddler with an incurable illness a dream holiday to Disneyland is set to take place later this month.

Employees of the Crackers and Chaps hair salon in St Nicholas Street, Diss, set off for their walk on Sunday, August 16, at 9am.

Paige Scott , aged two, the niece of Crackers and Chaps employee Sophie Fisher, was diagnosed with the incurable white matter brain disease earlier this year. Her life expectancy is just three or four years old, and those diagnosed with the illness will lose motor function, speech and sight, and dramatically deteriorate.

Salon owner, Stuston resident Donna Thomas, said they hoped to raise £1,500.

“We just need to get another £300 to get to our target,” she said. “I am sure we will make it.

“We are all looking forward to it, I think it will be fun.”
