There were no injuries after a garage containing two cars caught on fire in Rickinghall on Sunday evening.

Fire crews from both Suffolk and Norfolk were alerted to the incident, which happened in The Street, shortly before 5.55pm. The first crew arrived at the scene at 6.10pm.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the garage, which measured 6m by 8m, was “fully involved” in the blaze.

The electricity at the garage was isolated, before firefighters tackled the blaze using hose reel jets. The incident was under control by 6.33pm.
