An information event targeting the ‘hidden carers’ of Norfolk takes place in Attleborough next week, as part of a campaign to spread awareness about the services available to people in unpaid care work.
Taking place on April 17, from 10am until 1pm, at Connaught Hall in Station Road, the event will have more than 20 carers groups and organisations in attendance, to provide information, advice and expertise.
Les Eve, Carers UK’s Norfolk Ambassador for Carers, said: “There is so much information and support available to carers in Norfolk – not just from the hard-working organisations and agencies, but from other carers who have the experience and understanding of caring for someone.
“I know how difficult it can be to take on the new responsibilities that come with becoming a carer, but there are lots of people locally who can listen, advise and help with anything you might need.”
