Car fire causes delays on A140

Police and a fire crew from Diss were called to a car fire today just off the Dickleburgh roundabout on the A140.

Both services were called at around 1pm to reports of a Mercedes on fire and heavily smoking on the single carriageway towards Diss.

No-one was injured and the road was temporarily closed by police, but the fire crew closed the incident at 1.44pm.

Queues caused by the incident were expected to last over an hour.
