Burglars target north Suffolk pub

Burglars forced open the door of a pub in north Suffolk, to steal a lottery collection box and cigarette machine.

More than 200 of cash was stolen from the till and a fruit machine was smashed in the incident, which took place between 10am and 11.30pm on Wednesday at Ten Bells pub in Stonham Aspal.

Landlady Louise Lofts said: "We have got to sort out the locks and lights and it will cost a couple of hundred pounds to sort this out. It's a sign of the times with the recession and it's only going to get worse. It's the people who work damn hard who always get penalised."

Calls about this burglary should be made to Pc Carl Smith at Debenham Police, 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers, 0800 555 111.
