Bring your rubber gloves and a bucket is the plea to Eye residents ahead of this year’s spring clean.

Volunteers are asked to meet at Eye Town Hall on Sunday, March 22, and bring suitable clothing and a hi-vis jacket if they have one, to sign up for one of the morning tasks. Refreshments will be served at the hall later that day.

A council spokesperson said: “Community involvement is at the centre of this year’s Spring Clean and we need your help to spruce up our town. We’re asking local clubs and organisations, shop and business owners and residents to help improve local areas and make them more inviting.”

Focus areas for the clean include the Oak Crescent children’s play equipment, the bus shelter, which will get a new lick of paint, and litter picking. To nominate an area for the clean, visit www.eyesuffolk.org/spring-clean
