And each of the 16,000 Slimming World Group’s winners across the country are put forward to national competition, with a top prize of £3,000 on offer.

She joined the group in April 2016 and was also the group’s ‘Miss Slinky 2016’, losing the weight by sticking to the Food Optimising Plan.

“I feel so much better about myself now,” she said. “Everyone is so supportive especially when you have those struggle weeks and we have a lot of fun, and the best bit is you do lose weight and lots of it, which makes you feel fabulous and much more healthy.

“I still have a way to go but I know I will get there.

Before I lost the weight I hated having my photo taken and whenever I saw pictures of myself I knew that my smile wasn’t real. My weight impacted on so many aspects of my life

“I have more puff now and I can see my feet! They are less swollen so I can fit in to smaller size shoes and boots. Its so much fun being able to choose a new wardrobe of clothes a few sizes smaller and I have so much more choice too.”

Natalie Duke, who runs the group at Roydon Primary School, described her as an “inspirational member.”

“The changes we’ve seen in Jane are incredible,” she said. “I’m incredibly proud of her, she is such an inspiration member and is always there to help and support others in group.”

The Roydon group meets every Wednesday at 7.30pm at Roydon Primary School. To join call Natalie on 07810 883771 or just turn up on the night.
