The organiser of an annual charity tractor run says she is “amazed” after confirming total fundraising has surpassed the £500,000 milestone.

Money is still being collected for this year’s Pink Ladies’ Tractor Road Run, the 13th since the fundraiser’s inception in 2004, which saw 150 ladies travel across the Diss Express area on decorated pink tractors, with a cheque presentation of the final total set to take place next month.

Funds are donated each year to the Cancer Research UK Breast Cancer Appeal. Organiser Annie Chapman now has her sights set on the £1m mark.

“I am just amazed that in 13 years we can raise half a million from something that started as a one-off, a bit of fun,” she said.
