Air ambulance gives Wortham man potentially life saving flight
The East Anglian Air Ambulance has been praised by a Wortham woman after it took her brother on a potentially life-saving flight to Addenbrooke's Hospital on Monday.
Pensioner David Chuter was picked up by the helicopter after suffering an aneurysm which paramedics believed put him at risk of not surviving an ambulance journey to Bury St Edmunds.
The air ambulance was called at about 3.15pm and arrived within 15 minutes.
Mr Chuter's sister Janet said she was amazed by the speed of its arrival: "They were brilliant. The organisation of these people is unbelievable. You can't praise them enough - they are going to be in my will."
Mr Chuter was still recovering from emergency surgery at the specialist Cambridge hospital on Wednesday evening.
