A pioneer of the modern micro-brewing industry in Norfolk has called time on his career.
Wolfe Witham, founder of the Wolf Brewery in Attleborough, has retired after a 25 year career in the trade.

He established the brewery on the site of the orchard of the former Gaymer Cider works and won many awards before a move to new premises at Besthorpe.

Mr Witham, 59, has now sold his remaining interests in the brewery to the company which took over the business in 2006, WBC (Norfolk) Ltd.

Wolf beer can now be found on larger shelves of retailers including Tesco, Waitrose, Co-op, as well as farm shops and delicatessens.

Mr Witham originally brewed at the Reindeer in Dereham Road, Norwich, in the 1980s before selling to the Firkin Group in June 1995.
