Members of the 1st Dickleburgh Sea Scout Group transported 44 litres of seawater from Gorleston to their headquarters at the weekend.
About 45 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts took part in the triennual event and raised more than £500 for the RNLI, Children with Leukaemia and the Scout group.

Group Scout leader Paul Playford said: “We do a lot of boating and we do get the members over to the sea but the idea was to bring the sea to Dickleburgh.”

A milk churn was filled with the water in Gorleston on Saturday morning and transferred to Langmere Common by the Beavers and tipped back into the churn on Sunday, before being wheeled on a safety boat trailer back to the group’s headquarters in Dickleburgh.
