Past and present pupils from Thorndon Primary School have had their paintings selected for display in London's Royal Academy Of Arts.
Kezia Coulson, 10, and Eleanor Steele, 11, have been chosen as national runners up in the Sightsavers Junior Painter Of The Year 2008 awards.

Cameron Smith, 11, has been selected as a regional runner up in the competition, which had the theme The Sight I Would Most Like To See.

The pupils’ paintings, which are of a ballet dancer in the spotlight, a fantasy horse and the surface of the moon, were selected from nearly 9,000 entries from across the UK.

Teacher Paula Evans said: “The staff at Thorndon school are really proud and pleased three of our children were chosen for recognition at a national level among such a large number of entries.”

The exhibition runs at The Royal Academy Of Arts from November 22 until February 16.
