Missing clergyman dies in hospital

A missing clergyman who was found after a large police search has died in hospital.



Rev Raymond Powell, from Roydon, died on Wednesday at about 4.30pm at The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital after being found by a police helicopter earlier in the day.

Mr Powell, who suffered from diabetes and Alzheimer's, was found semi-conscious at the bottom of an embankment at Roudham Industrial Park in East Harling.

He had been missing from The Beeches care home in East Harling since Tuesday.

Mr Powell's family are being supported by a police family liaison officer.
