There was plenty of fun and free ice-creams at the opening of the new play area in Diss Park.
Town mayor Jane Trippett-Jones was joined by deputy mayor Andrew Thurston and South Norfolk MP Richard Bacon for the ribbon cutting on Friday.

Ms Trippett-Jones said: “This scheme has taken over two years of hard work - consulting, developing plans and seeking funding. We hope it will bring new people into the town, so their children can take advantage of the play experience.”

The two new play areas are the first phase in the Diss Park regeneration project, which will include improved equipment for teenagers, new paths, lighting, tree planting, signage, bins, seating and better accesses to the park.
