St Nicholas Street in Diss has been closed today because of a problem under the road surface.
Norfolk County Council has closed the road because a hole has opened up near the Toy Box Toys shop.

"The problem seems to be linked to a reinstatement of the road by a utility company," said a council spokesman.

"Norfolk County Council is carrying out an immediate investigation to find out the extent and cause of the problem."

The road will be re-opened later this afternoon.

A diversion is currently in place through Sunnyside.
