Elderly woman rescued in house blaze

An elderly woman was rescued from a house fire in south Norfolk on Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in the airing cupboard of a bungalow in Chequers Road in Great Ellingham at 7.55am.

A 97 year-old woman was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Firefighters from Attleborough and Hingham used hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire by 8.30am.
