Driver cut free after road accident

A driver was cut free from his vehicle by firefighters last night in north Suffolk after his van overturned.
The accident happened at about 6.30pm on Wednesday on Battlesea Hill, Stradbroke, blocking the road.

Firefighters from Diss, Eye and Stradbroke were called to the incident and used hydraulic cutting equipment to cut open the roof of the white Fiat Scudo van to release the man.

His injuries were not serious and he was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The road was reopened at 8.30pm.
