Dubbed "the Tardis", the small but brimming Redgrave Shop celebrated its first anniversary on Monday.
The volunteer-run community shop has been providing the village with local produce and a convenient stock of non-food items for a whole year.

Volunteer committee member Patricia Larman said: “This is a little Tardis – it is surprising what you can do with a small amount of space.”

She added takings are good, with improved services like newspapers adding convenience for the local community.

“This is viable and sustainable,” she said. “It is a meeting point for the village and a focal point. It’s also about care in the community and it’s a mine of information – I even started bell ringing through this shop.”

Redgrave resident Peter Nunn said the store was a valuable convenience: “I use the shop every day – you can just walk up the road.

“There are people older than me who perhaps have not got the transport to go to another shop.”
