The long-feared closures of some of the area's post offices were confirmed yesterday.
Post Office Ltd said it would be closing branches in the north Suffolk villages of Bedfield, Little Stonham, Pettaugh, Denham and Dennington from January.

The Bedfield, Little Stonham and Pettaugh branches will be replaced by outreach services – which could operate as a mobile post office or from a local centre such as a village hall.

Postal watchdog Postwatch is advising people who would like to respond to these closures to write to the National Consultation Team, Post Office Ltd, Freepost Consultation Team or email consultation@postoffice.co.uk

Post office closures in Norfolk will be announced in March.
