A flotilla of small craft bobbed its way down the River Waveney from Homersfield Bridge near Harleston.
The miniature sailing vessels were made by enthusiastic youngsters aged five to 11, who were taking part in the Build A Boat holiday activity organised by the Thornham Walks field centre in conjunction with South Norfolk Council.

Countryside officer Mark Timms and a team of helpers from the field centre provided all the materials, including small pieces of hazel, for the 25 children who attended to make miniature raft and catamarans.

The boats were then launched into the Waveney and retrieved further down river so their owners could take them home.

For further information about activities organised by the team at Thornham Walks, call 01379 788345.
