Teachers and pupils at Hapton Primary School celebrated the opening of a £372,000 extension on Friday.
The 26 pupils are pleased to have a new classroom, while teachers welcome the luxury of a staff room for the first time.

The extension, funded by Norfolk County Council, replaces a mobile classroom at the school and was celebrated by song, dance and drama as well as an art exhibition and miniature garden competition.

The extension was opened by Rt Rev Bishop of Norwich, Graham James, who gave a talk in his purple tunic.

“The children have been great, they have been very lively and everyone has fully participated,” he said.

Co-headteacher Linda McCormick said: “We are absolutely thrilled, it’s absolutely wonderful. This will benefit the children and allows us to function as a proper school.”
