A ballet dancer from Syleham has won an award for her work in painting and decorating.
Jessie O'Reilly is studying construction at Otley College and is hoping to use her decorating prowess to become a property developer – but not before fulfilling her career as a ballet dancer.

She was presented the top student award for her approach to construction and decorating work, Miss O'Reilly, 18, said she was surprised but excited to have won the award: "It was really difficult juggling both dancing and decorating.

"I'm busy seven days a week and it's been really hard work."

Miss O'Reilly was one of 49 students awarded for their achievements at Otley College.

College spokesman John Nice, said: "Jessie has done exceptionally well to get this award, it is a very good accolade."
