A motorcycle technician from Lings Honda, Harleston, has been named Apprentice of the Year.
Lloyd Jellings was selected from more than 100 apprentices from around the UK.

He was presented with a Honda watch and experience voucher at a special ceremony at the Honda Institute in Colnbrooke.

Branch manager Mark Powell said: "For Lloyd to have completed the course with such special recognition from his instructors is a positive achievement and something that both he and Lings can be justifiably proud of."

  • Lings Honda is holding a charity evening at the Apollo Rooms in Harleston on Saturday in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

  • Doors open at 7.30pm and The Encores – a Harleston-based band, will be playing hits from the 1960s.

There will also be a charity raffle, with prizes including a full party package at the Apollo Rooms – worth £500.

Tickets, £5, for the charity evening are available on the door. For more details telephone 01379 854205.
