A man who was air-lifted to hospital on Thursday after a road accident has been described as being in a stable condition by police.
The 35-year-old was driving a van when it was in collision with a tractor in Harleston Road, Rushall, at about 10.25am.

Three fire crews and an air ambulance were among the emergency service vehicles at the scene.

Fire crews worked for an hour to release the casualty, using hydraulic rescue equipment.

He was taken by the East Anglian Air Ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital at 11.50am, suffering from a number of injuries including fractured legs.

On Friday a police spokesman said he was still in hospital with a cracked pelvis, chest injuries and lacerations and cuts to his right arm, but was in a stable condition.

The driver of the tractor was uninjured.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information can contact PC Robert Timmins at Swaffham Road Policing, 0845 456 4567.
