... and all the trimmings!
Hot on the heels of Diss on View, the Diss Business Forum has come up with another don't miss event, snagging South Norfolk MP Richard Bacon as the guest speaker at a breakfast networking event on Friday, December 5, at Diss Golf Club, Stuston Road, 7.30 (for 7.45) until 9.30am.
With everything that has been going on of late, Mr Bacon's short talk on the issues of the day is sure to sizzle.
Just as important, this is your opportunity to ask whatever questions you have on the topics that matter to you, as a Q&A will be a featured part of his visit.
Tickets are £10 per head for forum members and £11 for non-members and other guests and include a full English breakfast
Space is limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. Cheques should to be sent to Marion James, DBF, 6a Mere Street, Diss IP22 4AD.
For more information email Marion at marion@dbf.org.uk. Please notify of any special dietary requirements when you book.
There are things we all need to know and reassurances we need to hear. Mr Bacon is well placed to do both.
He has been MP for South Norfolk since the 2001 General Election and has become an active local MP, involved in several important campaigns.
He is a member of Parliament's public spending watchdog, the influential Public Accounts Committee and also a member of the House of Commons European Scrutiny Committee.
After working in investment banking and financial journalism, Mr Bacon became an associate partner of Brunswick, a leading financial public relations consultancy, before setting up his own business, the English Word Factory, advising blue chip international companies on communications.
Having been out and about at a number of events recently, the number one topic has been the state of business and the business of the state.
This is one good reason I will be Breakfasting with Bacon…along with, I suspect, every other business that is serious about its future and the future of our local business community.
