This photograph shows members of the Uplands/Wilbye Association at their AGM in 1954.
It was brought into the Diss Express office by local historian Dennis Cross, who remembers the work of the residents' association for the then-new housing estate.
"They used to have their meetings in the church hall at the end of Mere Street," he said.
"They put in play equipment and looked after the green spaces and used to have socials and whist drives to raise money."
Mr Cross said he thought the association ended in the late 1960s or early 1970s.
"It got smaller and smaller and I don't think anyone wanted to take control of it," he said.
"It was a nice little organisation."
