David O'Neale sent in this picture of a wedding in Bridgham, which happened exactly a century ago.
“It is the wedding of Alice Alderton and (widower) Arthur Goodship and taken outside South View, Bridgham, on April 27 1908,” said Mr O’Neale.

Readers experiencing this year’s cold April, may be interested to find a similar experience in a description of the wedding day, recalled by the smallest bridesmaid, Winifred Fletcher, nee Alderton: “It snowed that morning, but the sun came out and the snow melted away.

“It was the wedding of the year in Bridgham; the wedding coach drawn by grey horses with blue ribbons.

“I think I distracted my grandmother sitting behind me, which is why her face is blurred.”

The photograph will feature in a wedding festival in East Harling Church from June 27-30.
