Winter brings extremes of weather.
Just lately we have had some frozen mornings but Edna Bowman sent in pictures of floods in Kenninghall from 41 years ago.
The pictures show the great community spirit of the village, heavy rain and flooding in the market place and streets failed to stop the daily routine.
Dust carts, buses and the milkman ploughed through the water, with crowds gathered outside their houses to commiserate and share some humour at the events.
Mrs Bowman said: "I remember Mr Turner at the garage – he had to move some pigs.
"He rang someone who had a bus to take them to a farm!
"Everyone was laughing and joking but I was too young to remember about any of the serious effects," she said.
