How lovely it was to see the photographs of Mellis School in the Diss Express.
The nativity play was called The Late Wise Man and took place in December 1994.

My son and daughter, Sam and Daisy, are both in the photograph. Daisy is the angel (and I'm afraid I have to admit to having kept the angel outfit!) to the left of Mary (Amanda Moore) and Sam is Joseph.

Now aged 19 and 18, Sam and Daisy are not actors, but singer/songwriters who perform together as a duo, and were featured in Expressions last summer when they played at the Yaxley Fete concert.

At the moment, they're taking a short break from gigging until the summer, in order to concentrate on their education, and have recently been recording some new material.

Other angels in the photograph are Victoria Chappell, Florence Fawcett, Hayley Talbot and Nicola Owen.

Other members of the cast that I recognise are: Giles Davy, Alastair Bloomfield, Eleanor Fawcett, Jenny Box, Harriet Ball, Leonie Cunnington and Emma Drummond.

Daisy is also in the photograph which appeared on the opposite page. She and Daniel are viewing an exhibition of pottery, sculpture and masks made by the pupils in March 1996.
