Mellis Memories

Dorothy's memories give Mellis a link with history Dorothy Dye was crowned Queen of the May in Mellis when she was 12. It is a treasured memory that is still as fresh as a daisy to her, even though it was 82 years ago.

My Mellis memories - Dennis Mole I went to the old school in Mellis from September 1944 to July 1950 and believe I was the first pupil to win a scholarship to Eye Grammar School (or first for very many years) where I went on to be head boy.
