Show is back by popular demand

High School Musical, the stage version of the movie phenomenon, returns to Norwich Theatre Royal this month and is sure to be an early summer hot ticket.

It follows the twists and turns of loveable schoolmates Troy, who is the super-popular captain of the basketball team, and ultra-smart science genius Gabriella. They discover they have a shared interest in singing, both signing up for the lead roles in the school musical. Their friends do all they can to separate the two but discover the pair’s passion for performing is too strong.

The show features a cast of more than 30 people, plus a live band, and includes all the unforgettable songs from the movie.

It has won rave reviews during its UK tour and is returning to Norwich by popular demand.

John Bultitude, of Norwich Theatre Royal, said: “There is always a huge buzz of excitement whenever High School Musical is in the city and this looks like being no exception. The catchy songs, superb dance routines and feelgood factor of the show always puts a smile on everyone’s face.”

High School Musical runs from Monday until July 11, 7pm, with 2.30pm matinees on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are 6 to 34 with discounts for under-18s and groups. Call the box office, 01603 630000.
